Warehouse management is crucial for any company and needs tempestiveness, flexibility and efficiency.

The Logistics Manager

He organises the storage and distribution of goods and he's involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. A logistics manager needs to have an understanding of the whole supply chain so they can co-ordinate it effectively and liaise with suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, retailers and consumers. A range of business tasks is undertaken to support the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes, and tasks usually include:

  • monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods;
  • coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems;
  • analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand;
  • allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs;
  • liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers;
  • developing business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.

The warehouse manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of goods, by managing people, processes and systems. Typical work activities include:

  • planning future capacity requirements;
  • planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods
  • order management
  • keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy
  • responding to and dealing with customer communication
  • producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment

Thanks to the configuration features of FLEX, the user does not only have to opportunity to choose the most appropriate business role among the ones available in the default configuration system, but can also configure and personalize his role and his dashboards on his own. By using the "FOR YOU" Advanced Application Tools, in fact, each user can independently  manage and modify an existing configured role as well as build his own working panels, by selecting the features  he needs from the User Application Panel.
